Adding new media

To add new media (pictures, video, maps etc.) please use the following external services (also from Google) and methods.

note: The reason for this request is so we can later use this same procedure for creating a new Urban Body Interface with also using GPS tracks and geotagging techniques.


ADD PICTURES USING PICASA WEB:
To add pictures to this blog please upload your pictures to Picasa Web (using your Google account) and place a link into this blog.
  1. Go to: http://picasaweb.google.com/ (also in course links in menu right of blog).
  2. Click on the "upload photos".
  3. Select or create a new album (make sure the album is public).
  4. Upload your pictures.
  5. In the album overview select the picture you want to add to your blog (or if you want to add the entire album skip this step).
  6. In the option menu (in album on the left, in picture view on the right) select "Link to this album" or "Link to this picture" and copy the code in the "html to embed in website" field.
  7. On your blog "Posting" > "Create" page select the "Edit html" Tab.
  8. Paste the code from Picasa into your blog html and that's it.

ADD VIDEOS USING YOUTUBE:

To add video to this blog please upload your videos to YouTube (using your Google account) and place a link into this blog.
  1. Go to: http://www.youtube.com (also in course links in menu right of blog).
  2. Click: "Login using your Google account".
  3. Click on the "Upload" button.
  4. Follow the upload instructions.
  5. Select the video you want to add.
  6. In the option menu (on the right) copy the code in the "embed" field.
  7. On your blog "Posting" > "Create" page select the "Edit html" Tab.
  8. Paste the code from YouTube into your blog html and that's it.

ADD MAPS USING GOOGLE MAPS:

To add a map to this blog please visit Google Maps (using your Google account) and place a link into this blog.
  1. Go to: http://maps.google.com (also in course links in menu right of blog).
  2. Navigate to the required location.
  3. Click: "Link to this page" on the right above the map.
  4. Select "Customize and preview embedded map" if required.
  5. In the option menu (on the right) copy the code in the "embed" field.
  6. On your blog "Posting" > "Create" page select the "Edit html" Tab.
  7. Paste the code from Google Maps into your blog html and that's it.
